The DisabilityID® App Is Here: Card Holder Benefits in Your Pocket
.webp)
For those who have been wondering "Does National Disability Card have an app" - we're excited to announce that the DisabilityID® app is officially live! It's now free to download on both iOS and Android for every National Disability Card holder.
If you've ever stood at the entrance to a venue wondering whether your card will be accepted, or scrolled through the discounts on our website on your phone trying to find that one offer you spotted last week, this app was built for you. It brings everything you love about your card into one place, ready whenever you are – whether you're planning a day out or already out the door.
Here's what you can do with it, how to get started, and some of the feedback we've already had.
📍 See what's near you, on a map
This is the feature we're most excited about. Set your location in the app and it shows you every café, restaurant, shop and attraction nearby that accepts your card – laid out on a map so you can see at a glance what's around you.
Heading somewhere new or visiting a family member? Simply update your location in your app settings before you go, and you'll know exactly where your card will be welcomed. No more guessing, no more asking at the till.
🔎 Discover our newest offers
There are a lot of discounts and benefits that come with your card, and we're adding new venues and offers every week - so it's easy to miss some.
The app makes finding new offers simple. Browse by category if you know what you're after, or by location if you want to see what's on offer in a particular area.
❤️ Save offers you love for later
Spot something you like but don't need it right now? Tap to save it and it'll be waiting for you later.
✅ Redeem straight from the app
When you're ready to use an offer, there's no need to switch between apps or hunt for a code. You can buy our gift cards or use a discount code directly through the app, in just a couple of taps.
🔔 Be the first to know about new deals
We're adding new offers and special deals all the time. Turn on notifications and the app will let you know the moment something new drops – so you'll never find out about a great discount after it's gone.
🔒 Log in once, stay logged in securely
One small thing that will make a big difference if you're used to browsing offers on our website: you'll only need to enter your unique card number once. After you've logged in once, you'll stay securely signed in for far longer than you would on the website. Simply open the app and you're ready to go.
🙌🏽 Free to download, with no in-app purchases
Anyone can download the app, but only National Disability Card holders will be able to login to view card holder discounts and benefits.
There is no cost to download or use the app, and there are no in-app purchases or hidden costs.
🗣️ What other app users are saying...
Before launch, we asked a group of card holders to put the app through its paces. Here's what they told us...
"So easy to use"
"I love it and the discounts are brilliant"
"I have already recommended the app to people"
We couldn't have asked for a better response, and their feedback is helping shape the app you'll be downloading today.
📲 How to download the app
Getting started takes about a minute:
- Download the DisabilityID® app from the App Store or Google Play.
- Open the app and log in with your unique card number.
- Accept notifications when prompted, so you don't miss new offers.
- Allow the app to use your phone's location, or set your location manually in the settings.
- Start exploring, and start saving!
💡 Please note that you'll need a valid National Disability Card or National Carers Card to take full advantage of the app. If you aren't yet a card holder, or your card has expired, please apply or renew first.
About the National Disability Card
The National Disability & Carers Card Scheme was set up in 2019 by carers to make everyday life and access easier for people with disabilities and those who care for them. The scheme supports 300,000 card holders and provides easy-to-carry visual identification that helps users avoid repeatedly explaining their disability or caring role. The National Disability Card is also accepted as proof of disability at 600+ venues across the UK and abroad. Apply for your card on our website today.
